18K gold plated refers to jewelry made by coating a base metal—in our case Brass—with a layer of 18 karat gold. This layer is applied through processes like electroplating to give the piece the appearance and shine of solid gold at a more affordable price. The thickness of the gold layer can vary, affecting durability and longevity. Higher-quality plating usually has a thicker layer, which lasts longer before wearing off. It’s a popular choice for those wanting the look of gold without the higher cost of solid gold jewelry.

Orders
When will my order ship?(+)
Each piece of jewelry is handmade to order and typically takes 2–3 weeks to be crafted and shipped. Sometimes, we have pieces in stock. In-stock items ship within approximately 1–3 business days of purchase.
We provide tracking information as soon as your order is ready—you will be contacted and receive a tracking number to follow your package.
While we aim to process and ship orders within these time frames, please note these are estimates only, and orders may ship earlier or later depending on production and fulfillment capacity.
To see whether an item is made to order or in stock, please refer to the individual product page.
If you purchase a combination of made-to-order and in-stock pieces, your entire order will ship once all items are complete. If you would prefer the in-stock portion to ship separately, please email us at info@sherylin.ch to arrange special shipping. Additional shipping charges will apply.

Sizing and Resizing
Why doesn't your ring size match mine?(+)
Over time, we’ve received orders where the ring size didn’t match the measurements provided. Since we own several ring sizers from different brands, we’ve noticed they can vary — sometimes by half a size, sometimes by two full sizes.
To help with this, we have our own sizing chart as a reference.
For international orders, you can download it here. For national orders, we can send you a printed card upon request — just email us at info@sherylin.ch.
How do I find my ring size?(+)
Download our ring sizer here and read the full instruction on how to take your measurement. Please note that each finger will have a different size.
What if I ordered the wrong size?(+)
Depending on the design, we accept size exchanges or resizing both nationally and internationally if the size is incorrect.
Please note that shipping costs for the exchange are at your expense.
Contact us first if you would like to arrange a size exchange — we’ll be happy to assist you.
Can I resize my ring?(+)
We offer resizing for a standard fee of 60 CHF, plus the cost of shipping.
Please understand that due to design constraints, certain styles cannot be resized — this is noted on their product pages.
All other rings can be resized, with adjustments typically completed within 2–4 weeks from receipt of your ring.
If you would like to request a resize, please contact us at info@sherylin.ch.
Why do some ear cuffs feel too loose and keep falling off?(+)
Many ear cuffs on the market come in a standard size and don’t always fit the unique shape of every ear. This can cause them to slip or feel uncomfortable.
How are SHERYLIN ear cuffs different?(+)
After years of practice and experimentation, specific sizes and designs have been developed to better fit most ears, ensuring a secure and comfortable hold.
I’ve tried other ear cuffs before without success. How do I know if your ear cuff fits me?(+)
SHERYLIN ear cuffs are designed to stay in place — neither too loose nor too tight. Each piece is carefully shaped to gently but securely hug the ear.
If you have any doubts, please contact us for a personalized consultation. We’ll help you take detailed measurements and, if needed, adjust the ear cuff (widen or tighten) to ensure the best possible fit.

Metal
What is sterling silver?(+)
Sterling silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals (usually copper) for added strength. It’s durable, easy to polish, and develops a natural patina over time. It’s often marked with “925” to indicate its purity.
What is 18K gold plated?(+)
What is gold vermeil?(+)
Gold vermeil is a high-quality type of gold-plated jewelry made with a base of sterling silver and a thick layer of gold (at least 2.5 microns), usually 18k or higher. It’s more durable and valuable than standard gold plating and is also suitable for sensitive skin.
How do I care for my gold plated and vermeil jewelry?(+)
Gold plated and vermeil jewelry require special care. Tarnishing of gold vermeil is natural and should be expected to occur. The extent of tarnishing depends on various factors, including, among other things, individual body chemistry, humidity in the environment, frequency of use, and care. Vermeil jewelry should be removed prior to bathing, showering, washing hands, swimming, exercising, and applying perfume, hairspray, or lotion, as exposure to moisture or chemicals may cause tarnishing to occur faster.
